How Money Is Made Online?

Many people new to the Internet get confused about on what product to choose, or what to do to get traffic to their site. Before you try to sell anything on the Net, first you must understand how the money is made online and only then you should make a plan to succeed.

Only Four Ways To Earn Money Online
-----------------------------------------

That's correct. There are only 4 ways to earn money on the Internet. All four are completely different and require specific competitive analysis for each. Also, the amount of money you could make from each form of business is different as it is the level of difficulty you will face. Now I'll tell you each of the four, from the toughest to the easiest.

#1. Create a Product and Sell It Through Traffic Got From Search Engines.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Creating your own product is usually the way to earn the most from your Online Business, but it is also the toughest route. Even if it is a digital product (one that is purely information or a service) that you can produce easily, like a DVD, this will be time consuming.

Do you ever thought why Gurus promote heavily to create a Product? The reason is because if you go this route, then you will need many services, some of which will be quite expensive:

  • Domain and Web Hosting to store your pages
  • Advice On Getting Search Engine Traffic
  • Advice On How To Create Sales Letters
  • Software To Create The Product and Pages
  • Additional Software To Support The Business
  • And the list goes on and on

And now you know why creating your own product is really the most lucrative endeavor online. The reason is because many people give up far before they get sales and quit. If you try to create your own product, be prepared to spend anywhere near between $2,000 to $4,000 to get the job done and somewhere between 3 to 6 months to learn all the steps and start receiving traffic from the search engines (this course will save you a LOT of headaches). This is if you are not willing to pay for traffic because if you do, then your start up costs will be higher, but you will see results really fast if invest the money wisely.

#2. Sell Your Product On eBay
---
--------------------------------------------------------

This is a totally different category since eBay has their own rules and the rules are different to find customers also.

In most cases, you can earn more money promoting your product through the search engines, but only if you get top rankings in them. This undertaking is more or less difficult depending on the market you are competing.

eBay will not bring the same amount of business than the search engines, but your listings will be displayed immediately!. You will not have to wait months until you get traffic, you get low traffic to each of your auctions, but it's immediate traffic and you can have many auctions running simultaneously.

The real advantage of eBay is that most people there are shoppers, instead of sellers and if you have a website, you can increase the visits to your website with each auction.

In the next lesson we will see the remaining two forms of doing Business, so stay tuned.
